German-born artist, Martina Hoffmann, works as a painter, sculptor and designer. She spent a good part of her childhood in Cameroon,
West Africa and has lived in many different cultures.
From her extensive travels she has brought back a taste for the exotic which finds great expression in her line of GODDESS BELTS. Each belt is individually handcrafted in her studio and turned into a one-of-a kind body sculpture that features an interesting blend of leather,metal and stones.
There is a strong feeling of personal style expressed in her designs. The GODDESS BELT is meant to be worn on the hip to adorn as well as create an 'energetic shield' for the body's center. (The center is a yoga expression describing the area one hand below the navel that houses the body's life force.)
This very special accessory will dress up a pair of jeans, a dress or wrap and turn any type of clothing into an exciting outfit for a special occasion.
The GODDESS BELTS have created great interest with articles published in the L.A.Times fashion pages, in the very prestigious textile and craft magazine, Ornament, as well as in Accessories Magazine.
