Martina Hoffmann

German-born artist Martina Hoffmann works as a painter sculptor and clothing designer.
She spent her childhood partly in Germany as well as in Cameroon, West Africa and still travels extensively.
From these travels she has brought back a taste for the exotic which finds great expression in her line of 'Goddess Belts'.
Each one of these belts is individually hand crafted in her studio and turned into a one-of-a kind body sculpture that features an interesting blend of leather, metal and half-precious stones.
There is a strong feeling of personal style expressed in her designs. The 'Goddess Belt' is meant to be comfortably worn on the hip as a personal adornment as well as an 'energetic shield' for the body's center.
This very special accessory will dress up the most simple of dress, pant or even wrap and turn it into an exciting outfit for a special occasion.
The 'Goddess Belts' have created great interest with articles in The LA Times fashion pages as well as the very prestigious textile and craft magazine Ornament.
